On the 16th Sepmtember, I went for a launching ceremony of Myline or known as online resource for learning in English with 14 students, excluded me and 1 lecturer, Miss Linira. The program was held at UTM International Campus in Kuala Lumpur. The program began at 8.30 a.m with the arrival of guests. Y.B Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the Minister of Higher Education was then arrived at 9a.m with a few of VIPs. It started off with the singing of the National Anthem, Negaraku, recital of Doa, and speeches from Y.B Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Mohd. Zulkifli Tan Sri Mohd Ghazali, the vice chancellor of University Teknologi Malaysia. All the students from the public institutions were given trial use of Myline for 90 minutes and the workshop was conducted at the UTM library immediately after the launching ceremony. MyLine is a self-access learning resource to enhance English language communication skills among students at tertiary level. MyLine offers a variety of activities and learning resources to improve language proficiency for academic and professional purposes. The activities and resources cover academic reading, writing, speaking and listening, study skills, grammar, forum, and other resources for learning in English.
